_______________
For All Township Residents
We're back
to normal recycling pickup days
starting
Friday, April 2, 2004
Pickup days for
recycling are once again back to our usual Fridays. The first
and third Friday for the East Side of town and the second and fourth
Friday for the West side of town and South of Ridgewood Road.
There will be no pickup on the 5th
Friday of any month. Don't forget the VERY OLD, but NEW
schedule starts on April 2, 2004 and continues at least through
March 31st of 2007.
Your patience has been admirable.
THANK YOU
Until April 2, 2004, please use the old
schedule of pickup on Wednesdays
RECYCLING
DO’S AND DON’TS
The following items must be separated from your garbage and trash
and put out at the curb for pickup the night before recycling days,
not on garbage days. Don’t forget – “Per Bag” refers to garbage –

less garbage you generate and the more money you save.

ALUMINUM
BEVERAGE CANS
TIN AND STEEL
CANS
PLASTIC
CONTAINERS WITH A TRIANGLE WITH A 1 OR 2 ON THE BOTTOM
These are known as commingled and can all be put out in one
container (hard-sided). Recyclables should be rinsed clean and
uncontaminated.
DO NOTS
Do not recycle
light bulbs, ceramic plates, cups, china, plate glass.
Do not recycle any
cans marked “contents under pressure”, cans containing hazardous
waste and empty paint cans.
Do not recycle
plastic containers with numbers other than a 1 or 2 in the triangle.
Do not recycle
pizza boxes, egg cartons, cereal boxes, microwave trays, plastic
trays, hangers.
PLASTIC BAGS ARE
NOT ACCEPTABLE.
DO
Place your
newspapers in paper bags (not plastic), or tie with a string.
Your recyclables
will not be picked up by the recycler if you are in non-conformance
– so please comply!
