ADMINISTRATOR – TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, BERGEN COUNTY
The Twp. of Washington operating under the Faulkner Plan E form of government with an elected Mayor and five council members, is seeking a full-time experienced Township Administrator to oversee day-to-day operations. 
 
ADMIN. DUTIES:  The Twp.  Administrator will be responsible for contract negotiations and overseeing municipal services and coordination of the operation of the various departments, offices, boards, and agencies of the municipal government. Fiscal responsibilities include but are not limited to the annual budget preparation including capital items and reviewing same with the Mayor, implementation of the budget, compile budget studies, analyses, and planning schedules.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT TO THE CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL – WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, BERGEN COUNTY.
FULL-TIME. Washington Township (Bergen County) is seeking to fill the position of Technical Assistant to the Construction Official. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance in the receiving, processing and issuance of construction permits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Uniform Construction Code and model codes.

Duties also include scheduling inspections, receiving payments, computer data entry, quarterly and annual report generation for DCA, and general clerical responsibilities. Experience with Microsoft Office programs is required and experience with Spatial Data Logic permit database is a plus but not required. The candidate must possess the ability to interact with design professionals, contractors, members of the public and municipal staff in a professional, courteous and timely manner. This position requires excellent time management and organizational skills.

The Green Team


The Twp.of Washington is organizing a new Green Team to work towards making our town a more sustainable and environmentally aware community. C.E.R.T. Volunteers Needed!

The Township of Washington has a CERT compromised of all volunteers under the direction of Sgt. Fasciano.  CERT is a program that trains you to help and assist your family and neighbors during an emergency situation.  In an emergency situation there is a possibility that emergency services may not get to you right away so having the CERT training can give you the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.

During an emergency CERT will help provide the following support by giving immediate assistance with damage assessment, shelter support, crowd control, evacuation and medical triage.  All responses will be under the direction of our first responders.

If you are interested in becoming a CERT member, it only takes 20 hours’ of training which will give you a lifetime of critical skills that are priceless.  We are currently looking for additional CERT members to join our team!
