TOWN HALL SUMMER HOURS -  New summer hours go into effect July 8th and run through Sept. The new hours are as follows • Monday: 8:30 am to 7:30 pm  • Tues/Wed/Thurs: 8:30am - 4:30 pm • Friday: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm  *New hours pertain specifically to the following departments: Clerk, Board of Health/Registrar, CFO, Purchasing and Planning/Zoning

PAPER SHREDDING EVENT - A SHREDDING ONLY EVENT will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Municipal Complex Parking Lot from 9:00 am–1:00 pm so bring all your papers to be shredded. As a reminder, No books, binder clips or three ring binders please.

• RECYCLING RULES REMINDER - Plastic bags are NOT recyclable and may be placed in with your household garbage. You may not put your recyclables in plastic bags, you should put bottles, cans and containers loose in a barrel or bin. Bottles, cans and containers must be rinsed of all food and liquid. Containers with food and liquid residue and plastic bags are considered contamination.  We have been advised that we will be charged $175 per ton if the Township’s recycling has contamination.  NO-KNOCK REGISTRY - Twp. of Washington -Bergen County register online to be placed on a No-Knock List, pursuant to Ordinance 17-19. By submitting this form, you are indicating you wish to have your address added to the Twp. of Washington's No Knock List of addresses that door-to-door vendors may not visit.  Click here to register online. REPORT STREETLIGHT OUTAGES - PSE&G customers may report a streetlight by calling 1-800-436-7734. Please note: the pole number (found on the metal tag on pole), street name, nearest cross street, and “in front of address” are needed to help  locate and complete the repair.

The Pink Hats Are Back! The Washington Township Police Department has participated in The Pink Hat Campaign for several years, helping to raise donation for Breast Cancer research.  We sell Pink Hats for a minimum donation of $25.00 per hat, which 100% of the proceeds are donated towards Breast Cancer research. Contact P.O. Washington Twp. Volunteer Ambulance Corp is Seeking Volunteers to drive its ambulances on weekdays. Volunteer drivers are only required to take two days' worth of driving courses and a few hours of CPR classes. Anyone who is available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at least one day per week could help. Please consider this great opportunity to help your community and its residents who truly do appreciate it.
